New research grant for local research to reclaim women's place in history

The Formentera Office of Equality is pleased to report that, until 6 September, islanders are invited to apply for a new grant for research recognising the historical role women of all ages on Formentera.

Ana Juan, the president and councillor of equality, was proud to unveil a grant that "promotes scientific research around equality and the recognition of women's role in history". The grant recipient will receive €8,000.

This grant is included among the objectives and actions set out in Formentera's First Plan for Gender Equality (2019-2022). Pillar 3: Towards a more egalitarian culture, and objective 3.1: Increase training around gender mainstreaming.

Requirements
This grant is open to adults with a bachelor's degree or higher. Applicants may apply individually or as part of a research team.

The grant will be awarded on a competitive basis and the rules have been published in the Official Gazette of the Balearic Islands (BOIB) and Consell de Formentera website.

Applications may be submitted in person at the Citizen Information Office (OAC) or electronically through the Virtual Citizen Information Office (OVAC).
